World radio as language practice

Radio is cheap immersion if you pick the right format. A pop FM in a language you are learning will teach you chorus repetition and ad slogans. A news/talk station will teach you names, numbers, and the speed of real speech. 369.FM is not a course. It is a way to put a live human voice in the room while you cook.

Match the station to the job

Beginner: music FM in the target language (Bollywood FM, Los 40, J-Wave). You will not follow the presenter. You will hear rhythm and common words.
Intermediate: public magazines and slower culture channels (France Culture, Ö1, RNZ National interviews). Replay is not available; that is the training.
Advanced: rolling news (France Info, Cadena SER, W Radio, RPP, BBC Radio 4/5). Expect to miss things. That is normal.

A simple weekly habit

Fifteen minutes of the same news station, three mornings a week, beats a random hour once a month. Keep the 369.FM tab open, favourite the station if your browser keeps local favourites, and do not subtitle the stream. If you need transcripts, use a course; radio is for the ear.
