CRI English Radio is an international service in English, not a domestic Mandarin city FM. Listen to it as a world-news and culture feed from a Chinese state broadcaster aimed at overseas audiences. The tone and story selection are part of what you are hearing. For Mandarin pop or provincial radio we do not currently list a stable public stream in the player; we would rather keep one accurate international feed than guess.
